Lauma’s work explores human emotions and the connection between people and nature. Feminine energy is a recurring theme in her art. It is calm yet powerful, a universal force present in everyone. Her works, created in watercolor, pencil, and ink, are both soft and elegant, yet full of strength.
About Lauma
Lauma is an artist and graphic designer, born in Latvia 1994 and living in Sweden since she was 13. Art has always been a natural part of her life, but she chose to focus on it professionally only a few years ago. A turning point was her year at Liljeholmens folkhögskola 2020, where she strengthened her belief in herself and her work as an artist.
Now based in Gothenburg, she works as a freelance graphic designer and as an independent artist. Her work has been exhibited across Sweden.
Inspiration
Movement has been a part of Lauma’s life since early childhood. She began dancing folk dance at the age of three and has explored many styles since, bringing a sense of rhythm and flow into her art.
She also draws inspiration from nature and the small moments of everyday life, which shape the energy and feeling of her work.
